The Cingular
2125 comes
with an application lock on the factory
ROM. This will prevent you from installing certain software
and applications onto your device. Application
unlocking is simple, even for the average novice.
Using a registry
editor, you will navigate to the following folder:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies
For key 00001001, change
the value to "1"
For key 00001005, change
the value to "40"
For key 00001017, change
the value to "144"
Then, you will need to
create a new DWORD key. Name this key 0000101b, and give it a
value of "1"
Reboot, and voila, your
device is now application
unlocked and able to install
any program.
